4.) When they put you in the story, with strong details and make you feel what the main character is feeling. Something that makes a bad story is when the main character dies at the last minute and you don't see it coming.

ReplyDelete1. Books can be dangerous because they ca make people want to act like a certain character. This may not be good. For example in the book the Clique I know people that wanted to act like Massie. She wasn't that nice of a person.
ReplyDelete2. Stories can change peoples' lives because it can possibly influence to help out with the world. Like my father for example, he read this book that inspired him to help out with all these charities. Now he works for Make a wish & Feed my starving children.
I had a relative that used to read these adventure-type stories when he was really little, and he used to dress up and "pretend" that he was that character going on adventures to distant lands. Do you think this is seen in most kids - the fact that they may immitate a character (from novels/tv/movies)?
Delete2- Stories can change peoples lives because if you become to obsessed with a character of a book you might think you are that character. They can also make you a better person. For example if somebody reads an auto biography or a biography of a person that was bullied or hurt by someone and you do that to somebody it might make you stop and say sorry and be a better person.

4- One that you can relate too or keep leaving you on the edge of your seat till the end of the book, is good. One that gives everything away in the beginning or has bad choice of words isn't interesting.
3. The Enemy. There was some argueing,action, and murder that has happened. I like reading those kind of books.
ReplyDelete3) My mom told me a story that when she was little her friend was sitting in the curb with his skate board whe a bug truck came by. Needless to say, the truck caught the kid in his tire. The kid was killed instantly.
ReplyDeleteBooks can be dangerous because they can suck you in. They can have you think that you are in the book, that you are with the character. Depending on how deep and powerful the story is, it can bring you tears, make you mad, or even happiness.

A story can change someones life because some books make you look at things differently and make the smaller details pop out.
ReplyDeleteBooks can be dangerous because some books can leave an impact on your life and if you get reminded of that book or topic it might make you emotional or freaked out.
It means that the book can change you in bad ways like you can read about a charter who does very bad things and dangerous things and when you read about it you might want to do the same thing and that can be dangerous.

for number 4, I felt as though strong emotion makes a good story along with a good plot. However if the plot is weak, the story lacks emotion, and if it isn't believable to a certain extent, it tends to ruin a story.

Books can be very dangerous in various ways such as they can change a person or give them a different perspective on life some example are if like you were to have a family member that has passed away and the book also has a character that u can relate to and you get information and answers from them.

I think it makes you re think things that you've done. I read Hate List and it made me think how bad bullying can actually effect someone. I always see it in the hallway. Something that changed my life was when my grandpa died of lung cancer. Reading books or seeing movies about cancer, makes me think about him and what is different with everyone that has/had cancer.

There is a book i am reading right now that has changed my life the book is called My Bloody Life:The Making of a Latin King cause it has showed me that living a gang life is bad situation for a teen or adult to live in cause the only thing that they do is do drugs and drink alcohol and also have sex with girls. This book also has changed me to not join a gang and to never mess with a person that is part of a gang cause if you mess with them they fight or kill you that is why i am never going to join a gang.

ReplyDeleteit matters what kinds of books your getting. if your gonna get a book about the soldiers in Iraq saving local civilians and celebrating with friends, that might want to persuade you to join the United States Marine Corps.
a story i have come across by is called " The Great Wide Sea." i was reading it and when i got to chapter 5? i thought it was going to be a boring book. when the boat broke and they were stuck in the middle of the island, it was pretty cool. it changed my liffe because it taught me hwo to survive if i forget to bring food in a car ride. how friendship really matters in life. when taking care of your brother really goes into your hands
