Creating an Infographic

Infographics are the new pamphlets/brochures/powerpoints/ etc...  You may consider creating one for your persuasive research projects in science.  Prezi is also a great tool to create an info graphic that is virtually movable! :)

The Ideal Infographic Has...
  • Timelines
  • Flow charts
  • Annotated maps
  • Graphs
  • Venn diagrams
  • Size comparisons
  • Showing familiar objects or similar size or value.
  • Cartoonish Images

Many Eyes

Many Eyes lets you upload your own data that you've found and place them in professional looking visualizations - there are a lot of examples on the website you can browse, too!

Google Public Data

Visualize and share your data in minutes - for free.  This windows-based software creates graphics from data into colorful charts and unique presentations.  There are many examples and a few tutorial videos, too!

Inkscape

Inkscape is a free vector graphic software available for many platforms.  This is the idea free option for the creation of your overall info graphic.  Simple and intuitive, you should have no problems importing your visualizations and combining them with your visuals to create your presentation.
