Station Study: Words for Teenagers

Complete the activity at each station.  This post contains all of the items you are annotating, reflecting on, and learning from.  Please respond to the following prompt (answer completely on a google doc!) as a reflection when you are completed with all stations:

Prompt: Does our society program this generation of teens to believe that "personal image" is more important than being true to one's self?  Identify and explain the contributing factors that influence this behavior.

Ideas to consider:
1. What ideas/life lessons do these three items/sources have in common?

2. What aspects do you agree or disagree with and why?

3. Slip of the Tongue provides many metaphors for behaviors of the youth in society.  What metaphor can you come up with that defines the actions and decisions of America's teens?  (Need to know what a metaphor is?  Click here for the blog post on Metaphors from quarter 1).
